Disaster On Thanksgiving

I got much to be thankful for today:
My family and I were all alive after the accident and we didn't go over the bridge's guardrail. It all happened when we were heading to my sister's house for Thanksgiving. It was me, my brother, my mom, my dad, and the oldest of my two sisters. We were on the bridge and caught in traffic and we heard screeching tires and WHAM! the next thing we know was that we were hit from behind by an SUV. The impact knocked us all from our seats 2 or 3 feet in the air and some bumped their heads on the rental's roof (even though we were wearing seatbelts). My dad, my brother, and I were wearing caps and the impact knocked our caps off. In the back of my mind I was like, "SHIT!" and, "WTF?!". It was a good thing my sister fought to keep the rented SUV we were in from hitting the guardrail, If she hadn't we would've gone through the guardrail and off the bridge. We all got different injuries: The pain I felt was like I was bodyslammed by Hulk Hogan, My mom suffered a headache, my dad and brother suffered back injuries, and my sister was worse. She was drifting in and out of consciousness and we didn't know the extent of her injuries. The front of the SUV that hit us was severely dented. I, my dad, and my brother were released from the hospital after some X-rays and questions, but my mom opted to stay and check on my sister. I just hope she'll be okay. I can tell you that it was no fun at all. I'm still a little sore, but at least it wasn't as bad as it was before I went the hospital in an ambulance.
